Ivar Segelberg was born in Sweden in 1914. He published his doctoral dissertation Zenons paradoxer (Zeno’s Paradoxes) in 1945 and became a docent in theoretical philosophy in 1947, when he also published his second book Begreppet egenskap (Properties). In 1951 he was appointed to the chair of theoretical philosophy at the University of Göteborg. His last philosophical book , Studier över medvetandet och jagidén (Studies of Consciousness and the Idea of the Self), was published in 1953. The present volume collects all three of Segelberg’s books, in translation and with a preface by Herbert Hochberg.
